Milan, June 6, 2023 - The results of the first months of 2023 further confirm Banca AideXa's rapid growth in the financial services sector for SMEs. The fintech bank, founded by Roberto Nicastro and Federico Sforza, has now surpassed 400 million euros in loans disbursed to support Italian SMEs, nearly doubling its growth compared to the previous year thanks to an expanding product portfolio and customer base
Parallel to the increase in loan volumes, there has been a significant rise in the number of customers reached: to date, over 7,000 have relied on Banca AideXa's financial products.
At the end of May, Banca AideXa also completed a capital increase of 20 million euros from investors and registered the entry of two new shareholders to accelerate its growth: Confidi Artigiancredito and SEAC S.p.A., leading institutions in the micro-enterprise sector. Banca AideXa's capital increase is aimed at supporting the growth of loans to SMEs. Following the capital increase, the pro-forma CET1 capital ratio position (April 2023) is over 35%.
2023 also saw the launch of a new product dedicated to entrepreneurs: X Conto, the first zero-fee digital current account that offers companies a yield rate on corporate liquidity and dedicated payment services.
Banca AideXa's commitment to micro-enterprises continues unabated: the average loan is in fact less than €200,000, which differentiates it from other operators. The continuous refinement of the proprietary X-Score algorithm and the use of its own credit policies allow for rapid growth in loans within an Italian SME credit market that is slowing down in 2023.
As of April 2023, Banca AideXa's "NPLs plus Stage 2 gross" amount to 6.9% of loans, the NPL ratio net of public guarantees and provisions is 0.3%, and 75% of volumes are backed by public guarantees.
We opened 2023 with important results such as the launch of a new solution for entrepreneurs and confirmed the competitive positioning of our products. The continuous growth is a recognition of Banca AideXa's determination to present itself as one of the main partners of Italian SMEs. Furthermore, the new capital increase confirms our partners' trust in AideXa's project and will allow us to reach our growth objectives even faster, with an ecosystem of high-level shareholders and partners.
