Milan, January 18, 2022 – Banca AideXa sums up 2021 and looks forward to new projects. The fintech company, founded during the pandemic by Chairman Roberto Nicastro and CEO Federico Sforza, is dedicated exclusively to small businesses and obtained its banking license last June. It ended 2021 with over €80 million in loans disbursed and €60 million in deposits collected.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, it grew by 500% compared to the previous three months. This volume growth was achieved while maintaining high portfolio quality (NPE <1%) thanks to proprietary scoring systems and the use of artificial intelligence.

Over 2,000 Clients and Three Products Launched

The banking authorization also accelerated the growth of Banca AideXa’s client base, which now exceeds 2,000.

Italian SMEs are attracted by distinctive, fully digital financing options designed to make online credit access simple, fast, and convenient thanks to Open Banking data: from X Instant loans (up to €100,000 available in less than 48 hours) and X Guaranteed loans (up to €500,000 guaranteed by the State, disbursed in a few days) to the X Savings deposit account, which offers very attractive interest rates.

100 Hires by the End of 2022

Banca AideXa also ranked first in the LinkedIn Top Startups 2021 list, dedicated to the 10 Italian companies that continued to grow and attract talent. In this regard, Banca AideXa continues its talent acquisition campaign focused on professionals with digital and financial skills. Currently, the number of Aidexers exceeds 50, and the goal is to surpass 100 employees by the end of 2022.

The new hires will involve profiles with digital and financial-economic skills, particularly software engineers, developers, solutions architects, business bankers, and CRM specialists.

The Rise of Fintech in Italy

These achievements are part of a scenario that saw a strong rise in fintech over the past year: as emerged from the fourth PwC FinTech Observatory in Italy, companies coped very well with the pandemic context, with overall revenue increasing by 31% in 2020. Among the sectors that recorded the highest growth was Lending (+26%), crucial in meeting the credit demand from small and medium-sized enterprises.

The first operational anniversary has been full of satisfaction for Banca AideXa. Since obtaining the banking license, the number of clients has grown exponentially, facilitating credit access for micro and small enterprises. This means that Italian entrepreneurs, whom I thank, believe in our innovative services, designed specifically to meet their financial needs with speed, simplicity, and efficiency.

Federico Sforza, CEO of Banca AideXa

Sforza continues: "Our financing products are rated 4.7 out of 5.0 stars on Trustpilot. In general, entrepreneurs are surprised by the speed of our processes and professionalism. These satisfactions drive us to do more in terms of developing new products and services, innovation, and growing the entire team."

Goals for 2022

For the current year, Banca AideXa is already working on the main goals for 2022, including developing new credit products to support short-term and medium-long-term business growth and launching new value-added transactional services to simplify the lives of entrepreneurs.

2022 will also see Banca AideXa strengthen digital channels and the partner network, streamline processes to improve customer experience, and focus on data and artificial intelligence, and open banking, with a “capital light” approach.
